Job summary

Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group seeks an experienced I&C Engineer to design, modify, and analyze instrumentation and control systems for new and existing nuclear plants. You will work on digital/analog control applications, interface with vendors, and mentor junior engineers in a project team setting.

You will lead design reviews, calculations, and setpoint development, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance while collaborating with clients to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• We need BS or MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Five or more years of experience in I&C Design Engineering.
• Experience with equipment selection, control philosophy, and design package preparation.
• Experience with controls system design for turbines, pumps, feedwater controls, and data displays.
• Experience as a client liaison in a lead or supporting engineering role.
• Experience in reviewing design documentation.
• PE license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, modify, and analyze instrumentation and control designs for nuclear plants.
• Prepare detailed calculations and setpoints for digital and analog controls.
• Interface with vendors for document reviews and equipment specs.
• Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information clearly.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist project managers to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
