Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports nuclear power plant I&C projects, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to digitize and modernize facilities.

You will prepare procurement specs, perform engineering calculations, and may travel for design reviews and site verifications. Hybrid work setup requires in-office presence 3 days weekly.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 3+ years of experience in design engineering for nuclear power plant control systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on a multi-discipline engineering team for nuclear I&C projects.
• Prepare specifications for instrumentation and controls equipment and engineering calculations.
• Travel to client and vendor sites for design reviews and field verification of designs.
• Assist with station outage activities as required.
• Opportunity to work in a hybrid schedule with in-office presence 3 days per week.
