Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer in the Phoenix area. The role focuses on major process controls projects for nuclear plants and SMR efforts, interfacing with project teams and clients to meet requirements.

This is a senior design engineering position with opportunities to guide others and advance your career. The role follows a hybrid schedule with in-office work three days per week.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 7+ years of experience in design engineering for process control systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others.

Responsibilities

• Work on major process controls engineering projects in digital systems (PLC/DCS/touchscreens).
• Prepare documentation for instrumentation and control systems and their procurement specs.
• Interface with vendors and prepare equipment purchase specifications.
• Attend client meetings and perform site walkdowns to ensure client satisfaction.
• Mentor less experienced nuclear instrumentation and controls engineers.
