Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Warrenville, IL is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary nuclear power team. The role focuses on design, procurement, and field coordination with travel to client sites and vendors.

A BS/MS in engineering and 1+ year of experience are required, with a hybrid work arrangement (three days in the office, two remote). You'll work on sensors, controllers, networks, displays, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, turbines and reactors,

Qualifications

A BS or MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (ABET accredited).
Minimum of 1 year engineering experience or a MS degree.
Coursework in mechatronics is desired, but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Work on a multi-discipline engineering team on nuclear I&C projects.
Engage with sensors, controllers, networks, displays, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, turbines and reactors.
Prepare specifications and engineering calculations for instrumentation and control equipment.
Mentor and train to grow knowledge in the engineering discipline.
Travel to client and vendor sites for design reviews and field verification.
