Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer for the nuclear power sector. The ideal candidate brings deep I&C expertise, NRC regulatory familiarity, and a track record in plant modernization and digital upgrade initiatives.

In this role you will work under guidance on design modification packages, perform technical evaluations, and help implement changes that meet safety and regulatory standards. A strong collaborative ability is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in Instrumentation & Controls engineering.
• Nuclear power plant experience and NRC regulatory familiarity required.
• Experience with digital upgrades and plant modification processes.
• Design and modification of I&C systems including PLC/DCS.

Responsibilities

• Support I&C modification projects from scope through implementation.
• Perform evaluations, calculations, and analyses for design decisions.
• Develop/update design documents, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Assist with digital modernization projects upgrading legacy systems.
• Review vendor docs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with internal teams and client personnel to meet objectives.
• Support outage activities and on-site implementation.
