Job summary

Boston Government Services (BGS) is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

The role involves developing detailed design packages, providing procurement and field technical support, and troubleshooting plant facilities. Requirements include ABET-accredited engineering degree and 5+ years of experience, plus DOE Q clearance eligibility. This onsite role offers a 4/10 schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited school with 5+ years’ experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with clients and teams.
• Willingness to work in a production environment.
• U.S. citizen; eligible for DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as a team member of an integrated project team or act as a technical lead for a multi-discipline task.
• Perform walk downs of existing plant facilities to generate design documents and provide field support.
• Develop high-quality detailed design packages and provide procurement and field technical support.
• Oversee storm drain designs, road design, soil evaluation, and oversight of external engineering firms.
• Familiarity with consensus design codes.
• CAD drafting experience is not required but preferred.
