Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to support the Spent Fuel Handling Project near the Naval Reactors Facility at Idaho National Lab. You will assist the Construction Project Manager and DCPM with submittals, RFIs, and quality records to keep the schedule on track.

You will coordinate with client and subcontractor staff, develop TCRs, and help maintain documentation lists while ensuring Schedule, Cost, Scope and Safety objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field; work experience can substitute for education
• Some experience on similar Department of Energy and/or large construction projects
• Thorough knowledge of construction practices; ability to read and interpret plans and specifications for compliance
• Working knowledge of computer software systems for processing submittals; Microsoft Office and databases
• Ability to maintain continuous communication with the Contract Manager, Project Controls Manager, senior engineer(s), and client personnel

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the end-to-end review and approval process for subcontractor submittals and change orders, exercising independent judgement in identifying issues and resolutions
• Evaluate, prioritize, and manage status of outstanding submittals to meet project schedule deadlines
• Participate in meetings to document weekly job progress, issues, and follow-up actions to maintain schedule
• Develop and author Technical Change Requests (TCRs) and Correspondence to Supplier (CTS) letters; maintain Technical Document List (TDL)
• Analyze and adjudicate variances of subcontract submittals, RFIs, NCRs to maintain schedule
• Prepare and communicate project metrics and status of submittals and logs
• Manage, organize, and support the construction project and subcontractors
