Job summary

Amentum seeks a Construction Cost Estimating Manager for our Spent Fuel Handling Project in Idaho. The role will manage a team of estimators, standardize procedures, and produce narratives explaining Basis of Estimate. You will train staff on GAO guidelines and oversee accuracy and timely delivery of estimates.

The position requires 10+ years of experience (5+ with a Master’s) and a strong background in large industrial projects, Excel expertise, and effective communication with project teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree; 5+ years with Master’s degree.
• 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and/or delegating the work of others.
• Experience in large scale heavy industrial projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of estimators with varying experience levels.
• Standardize estimating procedures and document Basis of Estimate narratives.
• Train the team on GAO-20-195G guidelines and Cost Estimating Plan.
• Review estimates for accuracy and ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and Engineering teams on estimates.
