Job summary

Amentum seeks a Civil Engineer to support the Spent Fuel Handling Project near Idaho Falls. You will provide civil engineering expertise through design, construction, and commissioning phases, reviewing documents and supporting contractor deliverables on a critical, national security project. The role requires 5+ years in civil engineering, a BS in Civil Engineering from ABET, and the ability to work onsite at Idaho National Lab.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience.
• EI in Idaho working toward Professional Engineering licensure.
• Ability to work onsite at Idaho National Lab daily.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering support for the SFHP design through construction and commissioning.
• Review design documents and contractor deliverables for compliance.
• Perform on-site inspections and solve field issues.
• Ensure adherence to codes (ASCE, ACI, ASTM, ASME, IBC).
