Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own and drive the nuclear QA audit program, aligned to NQA-1 standards. You’ll plan, lead, and report on internal and supplier audits, manage findings and corrective actions, and maintain qualification records for the audit team.

The role requires strong experience in nuclear QA, audits to CFR/NQA-1, and comfort delivering results to stakeholders. Travel will be involved as required by site visits.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor or qualifiable within 90 days with documented training and a written examination per NQA-1 Part II Subpart 2.23.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on auditing of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Working knowledge of construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred.
• ASQ CQA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end to end with the team: notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report.
• Evaluate and audit safety-related suppliers and services.
• Recommend additions, conditions, and removals to the approved supplier list.
• Perform surveillances and classify findings with corrective actions.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support audits of the program.
