Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear quality assurance framework (ASME NQA-1). You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, and write reports with corrective actions verified for closure.

The role requires strong NQA-1 credentials, 5+ years in nuclear QA, and experience with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR 21. Travel is required, with per diem provided for actual travel costs.

Qualifications

• NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification or eligible within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance.
• Experience auditing 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21 and NQA-1.
• Working knowledge of construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred.
• ASQ CQA a plus.
• Writes audit reports an NRC inspector could follow without discussion.
• Comfortable delivering findings to the people who caused them.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end to end and supervise auditors and specialists.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support audits.
• Write audit reports and verify corrective actions to closure.
• Travel to projects and conduct on-site objective evidence collection when required.
