Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under the nuclear QA framework (ASME NQA-1). You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, and author audit reports with a team of auditors and specialists.

Candidates should have an NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification or be within 90 days of qualification, with 5+ years in nuclear QA and strong knowledge of 10 CFR 50/21 and NQA-1. Travel and independent reporting are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance.
• Hands-on auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA is a plus.
• Writes audit reports that NRC inspectors could follow without further input.
• Able to present findings to stakeholders clearly and independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end-to-end: notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Recommend additions/removals to the approved supplier list; perform surveillances.
• Classify findings, issue corrective action requests, verify effectiveness, and close them.
