Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the nuclear QA audit program and lead internal and supplier audits under ASME NQA-1. You will plan the annual schedule, coordinate a team, and produce audit reports with objective evidence for closure.

You will manage qualification records, deliver findings to stakeholders, and travel to project sites and supplier facilities as required. Independence from the audited work is essential.

Qualifications

• NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification or eligible within 90 days
• 5+ years in nuclear QA with hands-on auditing experience
• Experience auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21 and NQA-1 requirements
• Construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services experience preferred
• ASQ CQA certification is a plus
• Ability to write audit reports understandable to NRC inspectors
• Comfort delivering findings to responsible personnel

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program
• Lead audits end to end from notification to report
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services
• Recommend approved-supplier-list changes and perform surveillances
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records
• Support owner, licensee, and NUPIC-style audits of the program
