Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear QA framework aligned with ASME NQA-1. You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits with a team of auditors, write reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

You must qualify as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor (or qualify within 90 days) with 5+ years in nuclear QA, auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1, and possess strong report-writing and communication

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on experience auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Ability to write audit reports that NRC inspectors can follow without explanation.
• Comfort delivering findings to the people who caused them.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program, including internal and supplier audits.
• Lead audits end to end — notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report.
• Supervise auditors and technicians on the audit team during field work.
• Evaluate suppliers of safety-related items and services; recommend supplier-list changes.
• Maintain qualification records and support other audits of the program.
