Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Lead Auditor to own the audit program within our nuclear QA framework. You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, and write reports while verifying corrective actions to closure.

Qualifications include NQA-1 Lead Auditor or eligible within 90 days, 5+ years in nuclear QA, and ability to audit to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR 21. Strong report writing and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Working knowledge of construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred; ASQ CQA a plus.
• Writes audit reports that an NRC inspector could follow without a conversation; able to present findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program including internal audits of all applicable NQA-1 requirements.
• Lead audits end to end—notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence collection, findings, exit meeting, report—and supervise auditors and specialists.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services; recommend add/ remove to supplier list.
• Perform surveillances; classify findings, issue corrective-action requests, verify effectiveness, and close with objective evidence.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support audits of our program.
