Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the nuclear QA audit program, aligning with ASME NQA-1. You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits with a team, and write reports with corrective actions tracked to closure.

The candidate should have NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification or qualify within 90 days, 5+ years in nuclear QA, and hands-on auditing experience to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR 21.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance.
• Hands-on auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Experience in construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred.
• Ability to write audit reports that NRC inspector could follow without a conversation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program; internal and supplier audits.
• Lead audits end to end — notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services; recommend approvals/ removals.
• Perform surveillances; classify findings and verify corrective actions to closure.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support program audits.
