Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks an experienced Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear quality assurance framework per ASME NQA-1. You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, write reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

Independence from the audited work and documented qualifications are essential. The role requires 5+ years in nuclear QA, hands-on auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR 21, and the ability to deliver findings

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance.
• Hands-on auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA a plus.
• Writes audit reports that NRC inspector could follow and delivers findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end to end – notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Recommend supplier-list changes and perform surveillances.
• Classify findings, issue corrective actions, verify effectiveness, and close with evidence.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support audits.
