Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear QA framework, guiding internal and supplier audits with independence from the work audited. You will plan annual audit schedules, lead audits end-to-end, write objective reports, and verify corrective actions to closure while supervising auditors and specialists on the team.

Qualifications include NQA-1 Lead Auditor or eligible within 90 days, 5+ years in nuclear QA, and the ability to present findings

Qualifications

• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance
• Hands-on auditing experience to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR 21 and NQA-1
• Writes audit reports that NRC inspectors could follow without conversation
• Maintains lead-auditor and auditor qualification records
• Independence from the work audited and ability to present findings to stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program
• Lead audits end to end—notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services
• Recommend approved-supplier-list changes and perform surveillances
• Maintain qualification records and support external audits of the program
