Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear QA system, aligned with ASME NQA-1. You will plan the annual audit schedule, lead internal and supplier audits with a team, write audit reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

This role requires current or near-term qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, 5+ years in nuclear QA, and hands-on experience with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR 21.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days through approved training and exams.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on audits to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21 and NQA-1.
• Knowledge of construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services is strongly preferred.
• ASQ CQA certification is a plus.
• Writes audit reports that an NRC inspector could follow without conversation; comfortable delivering findings to the responsible personnel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end to end — notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence collection, findings, exit meeting, report; supervise auditors and specialists.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Classify findings, issue corrective-action requests, verify effectiveness, and close with objective evidence.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support other program audits.
