Job summary

1X is building NEO, a home humanoid robot designed to move, learn, and operate in real-world homes. As an NPI Engineering Technician, you will bring new designs into a mass-manufacturable state, dialing in assembly processes and validating electromechanical designs so the line runs reliably.

You'll troubleshoot issues on the production floor, turn engineering intent into working builds, and work with cross-functional teams to sustain quality, safety, and throughput as we scale production.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, or RMA service environment.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical production issues.
• Ability to interpret work instructions, drawings, and build documentation.
• Working knowledge of precision mechanical assembly.
• Experience with production testing (continuity, hipot, or functional testing).

Responsibilities

• Dial in mechanical and electrical assembly processes to enable mass manufacture.
• Validate new electromechanical designs on the line and document issues.
• Troubleshoot line issues and implement corrective actions to maintain flow.
• Create and maintain clear work instructions for repeatable builds.
• Collaborate with design and quality teams to root cause production problems.
