Job summary

1X is building humanoid home robots, including NEO, designed to move, learn, and operate with real people. We design hardware and software together to create safe, scalable systems for real-world use. This role leads critical electrical subsystems from concept through production, shaping performance, reliability, and cost.

You’ll partner with firmware, controls, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to bring ambitious robotic systems to life, with a focus on safety and manufacturability at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing and shipping complex electrical systems.
• Strong fundamentals in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience designing, debugging, and validating hardware from schematic design through PCB bring-up.
• Hands-on experience using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver electrical subsystems for NEO's capabilities from architecture through production.
• Bridge concept to deployment, making key technical decisions impacting performance and scalability.
• Lead design reviews, validation testing, and implement electrical engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with firmware, controls, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering teams.
• Support production ramp and field deployment through scalable designs and root-cause analysis.
