Job summary

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) position at Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is a per diem Urology Nurse Practitioner role. Weekends are required and coverage may include weekdays and holidays.

No call. The APN collaborates with the care team to assess, plan, and implement patient care with a focus on safety and quality. Required are an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program, an NP master's or doctoral degree, NPI, prescriptive authority under NJ law, and board certification (AANP/ANCC).

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited NP program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting as regulations dictate.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority per NJ CDS/DEA registration.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide per diem urology NP care in coordination with the practice/hospital team.

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. This position is for a per diem Urology Nurse Practitioner. Weekends are required. May require weekdays and hHoliday coverage. No call.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. 1. Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
2. 2. Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
