Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant for day shifts with experience in Emergency Room, ICU, or inpatient medicine to join our hospital team.

The APN/PA will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with physicians, and support care planning and execution. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required; no on-call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by AMA Council on Medical Education.
• Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license.
• Certification by NCCPA.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• ACLS certification (AHA).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with the hospital team.
• Participate in care planning and implementation processes.
• Weekend and holiday work as needed.

Job description

Hiring an APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for DAY with experience in Emergency Room, RRT, Critical Care Medicine, ICU or Inpatient Medicine.

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program. 2. Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. 3. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice. 4. Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate). 5. National Provider Identifier (NPI). 6. Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law. 7. Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff. 8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 9. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
