Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking a Per diem Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care, ensuring safety and ethical decision-making. Weekend and holiday coverage is required, with opportunities to lead and coach staff, participate in care coordination, and support research and education initiatives within

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Per Diem Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The PA/APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess,plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.
