Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer in the United States with 4+ years of experience in power delivery. You will prepare complex transmission line designs using PLS-CADD and related software, coordinate material and cost estimates, and lead client design reviews while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualified candidates hold a PE license and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and other design tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• PE license required.
• 4+ years of transmission line engineering experience in Power/Utility.
• Proficient with PLS-CADD and related design tools.
• Experience with 69kV–500kV transmission voltages preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual and detailed transmission line designs using PLS-CADD and foundation design software.
• Coordinate construction release packages and bills of materials.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and coordinate quality reviews.
• Lead design reviews with clients and stakeholders.
• Develop project manhours estimates and schedules.
• Conduct site visits and field reviews during design and construction.
