Job summary

Mettler-Toledo Rainin is seeking a Lab Sales Specialist to manage and grow the Pacific Northwest territory (Washington & Oregon). You will drive strategic account growth, deliver value‑based selling, and build long‑term customer partnerships across pharma, biotech, and academia.

The role requires a life sciences background, ERP/CRM experience (SAP preferred), and strong MS Office skills. Travel is required; relocation not provided. This is a field role reporting to the West District Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences required; 2+ years sales in scientific instruments preferred.
Significant ERP/CRM experience; SAP preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Technical knowledge in product line areas (engineering, chemistry, materials science).
Laboratory experience with automated lab instruments strongly preferred.
Willingness to travel; prior product management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow business within key accounts using strategic selling approaches.
Build relationships with pharma, biotech, academic, government, and clinical institutions.
Coordinate vendor shows, seminars, service reviews, asset assessments, and product demos.
Promote Rainin solutions through direct selling and tailored marketing.
Identify new business through cold calling and expansion into new segments.
Leverage e-commerce and digital procurement pathways; share leads across MTU units.
