Alphatec Spine is seeking an Area Sales Manager for Navigation & Robotics to drive capital equipment sales growth across the Northeast. You will develop territory plans, build a robust pipeline, and lead demonstrations for surgeons and facilities.

This role requires 5+ years in medical device spine sales, strong presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability to travel 50–75% to support distributors and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of successful medical device sales experience in spine.
• Experience selling surgical robotics, navigation systems, spine technologies, or related capital equipment.
• Ability to travel extensively in the Northeast region.
• Experience working with distributor sales networks and influencing executives.
• Proficiency in pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM systems.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Collaborative team player with a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Drive capital sales revenue for Valence Navigation & Robotics in the Northeast.
• Develop and execute strategic territory plans to meet sales objectives.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
• Negotiate and close capital sales while maintaining profitability.
• Serve as primary contact for Navigation customers and guide them through adoption.
• Coordinate field demonstrations, product evaluations, and customer visits.
• Partner with sales, clinical, and marketing teams to showcase robotics value.
• Deliver product presentations tailored to customer needs and clinical goals.
• Forecast accurately and provide market intelligence to leadership.
• Support distributors and field teams with strategy and competitive positioning.
• Ensure smooth handoffs from sales to implementation and training teams.
