Job summary

BD is seeking a Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Area Business Manager - NE to drive sales growth and market share across PA, NJ, NY, CT, and surrounding states. You will develop strategic plans, build surgeon and hospital relationships, and lead cross‑functional teams to achieve targets.

The role requires 5–7 years in medical device sales, strong negotiation skills, and extensive Northeast travel including overnights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• 5–7 years of medical device sales experience, preferably surgical or hospital-based.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and driving market share growth.
• Strong understanding of healthcare purchasing processes and reimbursement policies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel extensively within the Northeast region, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet/exceed targets for PRS in the Northeast.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with surgeons, hospital admins, and purchasing departments.
• Identify new opportunities and expand market penetration via strategic accounts.
• Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and in-service training.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing, ensuring profitability per guidelines.
• Coordinate with marketing, clinical support, and customer service for seamless support.
• Submit regular sales forecasts and expense reports in a timely manner.
• Attend industry conferences and build a professional network.
• Manage daily sales activities to maximize territory efficiency.
