Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. is seeking an Employee Onboarding and Retention Specialist for the Nevada Cares Campus in Reno.

The role provides HR support, onboarding, retention efforts, payroll and benefits coordination in a fast-paced environment. You will build relationships with leadership, manage new hire paperwork, assist with training logistics, and ensure compliance with local and federal standards.

Formación

• High school diploma required; 1 year of administrative support experience.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree or HR certification desired.
• Experience with recruiting or benefits administration; knowledge of Nevada law.
• Proficient computer skills; intermediate Excel and Word.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication; welcoming environment.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Provide HR support including onboarding, retention efforts, payroll and benefits.
• Coordinate onboarding sessions and ensure new hire paperwork compliance.
• Build relationships with supervisors and applicants to ensure a positive onboarding.
• Maintain accurate new employee personnel files and reports.
• Assist with training logistics, sign-in sheets, and evaluations.
• Participate in recruiting events and coordinate interviews.
