Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is an award-winning accounting firm serving nonprofit clients in the Houston area. We seek a dedicated Accountant to work with multiple clients, both virtually and on-site, with a clear path to Controller as the organization grows.

Benefits include a strong compensation package and a flexible 35-hour work week. The role emphasizes client interaction with Boards and Finance Committees, grant tracking, and financial statement preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience in public accounting and/or industry; 5+ years preferred.
• Outstanding communication skills and positive attitude.
• Knowledge of, or interest in learning, multiple accounting software packages; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
• Intermediate-level Excel skills.
• Willingness to travel to client offices as needed when it is safe to do so.
• Nonprofit experience preferred, but not required.
• Our part-time employees are expected to work during normal business hours to best serve our clients.

Responsibilities

• Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
• Bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly financials and related analysis
• Grant tracking and monitoring
• Cash flow projections and monitoring
• Preparation for outside audits
