Job summary

Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is an award-winning accounting firm specializing in outsourced accounting for nonprofit organizations. This Accountant for Nonprofit Organizations role offers a hybrid work environment with a 35-hour standard work week, strong benefits, and growth potential toward a Controller position.

You will interact with clients, their staff, and boards while supporting multiple nonprofits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience required, nonprofit or outsourced accounting experience preferred.
• Strong interest in supporting nonprofit organizations.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting technology; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel to client offices as needed.
• Hybrid work environment and normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
• Bank account and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monthly financial statements and related analysis.
• Grant tracking and monitoring.
• Cash flow projections and monitoring.
• Preparation for outside audits.
