Job summary

Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is a national leader in outsourced accounting for nonprofit organizations. This Accountant role is hybrid, with a standard 35-hour work week and opportunities for promotion to a Controller-level position.

The position involves working with multiple nonprofit clients, interacting with their staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees, and supporting month-end close, grant tracking, and audits. Competitive base salary and strong benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of related experience in public accounting and/or industry; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
• Knowledge of multiple accounting software packages; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Willingness to travel to client offices as needed when it is safe to do so.
• Nonprofit experience preferred, but not required.
• Part-time employees are expected to work during normal business hours to best serve our clients.

Responsibilities

• Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
• Bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly financial statements and related analysis
• Grant tracking and monitoring
• Cash flow projections and monitoring
• Preparation for outside audits
