Dollar General seeks a Store Manager on Duty to lead the Non-Food Department and the total store when designated. You will ensure effective inventory management, attractive merchandise presentation, and strong customer service. Maintain a safe work environment and protect company assets per procedures.

Responsibilities include managing cash, training staff, overseeing stocking and merchandising, and ensuring proper scheduling and store security in the manager on duty role.

Formación

• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of and willingness to obtain required certifications in food handling.
• Ability and willingness to comply with company policies and procedures as outlined in SOPs and handbooks.

Responsabilidades

• Authorize refunds and overrides; count cash register; deposit money.
• Maintain cash accountability and adhere to security practices.
• Manage store in the absence of Store/Asst. Manager.
• Assist in training employees and supervisors.
• Train associates in stocking Non-Food items and presentation standards.
• Oversee proper execution of the 7 Day Workflow Plan and related procedures.
• Ensure proper scheduling coverage and store operations.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and merchandising according to plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and minimize damages and markdowns.
