Qualifications

• Mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Ability and willingness to obtain required certifications in food handling.

Responsibilities

• Manage Non-Food Department and store when designated as Manager on Duty; ensure efficient operations.
• Authorize refunds and overrides; count register and deposit money.
• Assist Store Manager in training and scheduling; oversee cash integrity and security.
• Support merchandising, stocking, and presentation standards across the Non-Food area.
• Assist with safety, sanitation and adherence to procedures; train associates as needed.
• Coordinate receiving, stock rotation, and layout according to plan.
