Job summary

Midco seeks a skilled NOC/Network Operations professional to monitor a multi-service fiber network, detect outages, and coordinate rapid remediation with third parties. You will perform initial troubleshooting, document events, and escalate to senior staff as needed, ensuring timely updates to Engineering and Business Care teams.

The role requires experience in NOC operations, TCP/IP, and network monitoring tools, with a focus on proactive health checks and maintenance coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational tech cert, or equivalent work experience.
• NCTI Operations Center Technical Support I coursework completed or plan to complete within 12 months.
• Cisco routing and switching coursework to be completed within first year.

Responsibilities

• Monitor multi-service fiber network and related services; identify events and outages.
• Coordinate mitigation and repair with third parties and vendors.
• Communicate status and updates to internal teams during outages.
• Perform preliminary troubleshooting and escalate as needed.
• Input and track change requests for maintenance activities.
• Review maintenance windows and perform pre/post QC checks.
