Job summary

Midco is seeking an experienced NOC professional to monitor a multi-service fiber network and related services, including IT and transport layers. You will rapidly identify outages, coordinate remediation with internal teams and third parties, and maintain clear documentation and updates for stakeholders.

The role requires 2+ years in NOC or network operations, familiarity with TCP/IP, MPLS/VLAN routing, and common monitoring tools; a strong focus on incident management and rapid problem

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent in technology field or related work experience.
• Minimum two years in NOC, Engineering, Network Operations, or Business Support.
• Preferred telecom or cable industry experience and Cisco routing/switching coursework.
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools and incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the multi-service fiber network and related services for performance and outages.
• Identify events, outages, and degrade conditions; escalate as needed.
• Coordinate mitigation and restoration with internal teams and vendors.
• Input and review change requests for maintenance activities.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders during incidents.
• Perform pre/post maintenance QC and coordinate with Field Ops.
• Document issues and work with third parties to resolve problems.
