Job summary

Midco is seeking a Business NOC Technician to monitor and support its Enterprise and Wholesale Carrier networks. You’ll respond to incidents, coordinate restorations, validate service delivery, and maintain operational documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with relevant technical experience.
• Experience with network monitoring, incident handling, and ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of Layer 1–3 networking concepts and carrier services.

Responsibilities

• Engage in reactive and proactive monitoring of the multi-service fiber optic network to identify events and outages.
• Monitor resources, carrier circuits, and connections for performance issues and service interruptions.
• Triage alarms, assess impact, and take appropriate actions per procedures.
• Document incidents, service requests, and maintenance activities in systems.
• Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and escalate when needed.
• Coordinate mitigation and restoration with internal teams, vendors, and carriers.
• Communicate status updates to customers and stakeholders as required.
• Review and improve change management, maintenance, and process documentation.
• Support onboarding, training, and continuous improvement within the department.
