Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join our onsite team near Allen, Texas. You will monitor network infrastructure, troubleshoot IP connectivity, and respond to outages in a 24/7 NOC environment.

Responsibilities include incident triage, coordinating with field engineers, and maintaining documentation. A CJIS background screening is required, with a 3-month contract-to-hire potential and a Tuesday-Saturday schedule.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of network troubleshooting experience including IP connectivity.
• 1+ year of experience troubleshooting routers, switches, servers, and endpoints.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking and interoperability standards.
• Hands‑on experience with VPN, BGP, MPLS, and SIP protocols.
• Ability to interpret network diagrams using Microsoft Visio or similar tools.
• Experience with network monitoring, incident triage, and outage response is preferred.
• Ability to meet CJIS background screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure, telecommunications systems, and 9-1-1 call-handling systems for performance, availability, and service disruptions.
• Troubleshoot IP network connectivity, routers, switches, servers, and endpoint hardware.
• Respond to network alerts, investigate outages, and resolve incidents within established SLA timelines.
• Perform network surveillance, performance checks, incident triage, and remote/cloud operations monitoring.
• Support network outage resolution and coordinate technical escalations with field technicians and network engineers.
• Manage incidents, changes, problems, and vendor tickets using ServiceNow or similar IT service management tools.
• Interpret network diagrams and maintain incident, outage, and quality control documentation.
• Support network operations in a 24/7 NOC or telecommunications environment.
