Job summary

Systems Engineering Solutions Corporation seeks a NOC Tier 1 Shift Lead to oversee a team of Tier 1 technicians across 24/7 shifts. You will coordinate monitoring, triage incidents, and escalate complex issues to higher tiers while maintaining operational efficiency and clear communications to stakeholders.

The role requires strong networking fundamentals, ITIL/CCNA certifications, and hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
5+ years in Tier 1 NOC/support operations in 24x7 environments.
ITIL v3, CompTIA, CCNA or equivalent certifications.
Experience with enterprise monitoring tools and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

Provide direct oversight and leadership to Tier 1 NOC Analysts during shifts.
Monitor networks, servers, and applications; triage and escalate incidents per SLAs.
Coordinate shift operations and ensure proper logging and handoffs.
Act as first escalation point for complex Tier 1 issues and mentor staff.
Communicate incident status to stakeholders and management.
Maintain situational awareness of network health and critical infrastructure.
Enforce SOPs, IR workflows, and change management policies.
Review Tier 1 tickets for accuracy and completeness.
Train and mentor Tier 1 staff to improve response times.
Support major incidents and provide real-time updates to NOC leadership.
Identify gaps and opportunities for automation and process improvements.
Generate shift reports with incidents and performance metrics.
