Job summary

Mediacom Communications Corporation is seeking a Manager for its Network Operations Center to lead shift operations, enforce processes, and drive continual improvement in event and problem handling. You will ensure service uptime and robust incident response across the NOC.

In this role you will guide root cause analysis, maintain accurate outage reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to meet contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Two plus years practical experience using Remedy or similar ticketing system.
• ITIL 3.0 knowledge.
• Two plus years in a Network Operations Center.
• Experience with event and problem management tools (Netcool, SolarWinds).
• Telecommunications experience a plus.
• Understanding of VoIP, high-speed data and optical transport components.
• Proactive, can-do attitude with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and written processes to Network Operations.
• Ensure consistent, accurate outage reporting.
• Own outage report information creation and weekly review.
• Collaborate with other NOC functions to understand service delivery.
• Coordinate root cause analysis requests per contracts and interfaces.
• Identify and advocate for process and tool improvements.
• Coordinate with internal groups and external vendors to meet business requirements.
• Communicate technical and business status to Senior Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
