Job summary

Delaware Department of Technology & Information (DTI) is seeking an IT operations support specialist to recognize, diagnose, and track incidents across data centers and IT systems. You will perform corrective actions, escalate when required, and maintain detailed reports to minimize downtime.

The role emphasizes documenting procedures, supporting service desks, and ensuring security and reliability of facilities and networks.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or higher in IT or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience reporting incident status and resolution.
• Technical training or industry certifications such as A+, Network+, CCNA encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and diagnose IT incidents; track and escalate as needed.
• Perform operational support duties including monitoring and batch jobs scheduling.
• Maintain knowledge base; write/edit procedures; produce activity reports.
