Job summary

Lumen Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Operations Engineer for its Network Operations Center in Weehawken, NJ. You will monitor and support a low-latency network for financial services clients, targeting incident resolution and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Network Engineering and customer teams, performing data center tasks (racking, stacking, cabling), and maintaining shift logs. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and routing/switching skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years in NOC/production support environment (banking/brokerage experience preferred).
• Experience with network monitoring tools and basic troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report network/server alerts from SevOne and IP SLA to the NOC Lead and Network Engineer.
• Serve as first point of contact for Trouble Tickets; maintain shift log and handover notes.
• Perform Data Center installs including racking and stacking of HP and Dell equipment.
• Perform structured cabling design, installation, testing and documentation.
• Coordinate change requests, incidents and break-fixes within SLA requirements.
• Collaborate with customers and vendor teams to troubleshoot network issues and isolate root cause.
