Job summary

Lumen Technologies seeks an Operations Technician II to support PSCC customers and manage complex network issues. You will troubleshoot, isolate, and maintain network systems with strong technical skills.

This remote role requires residency in the United States and availability for a 24/7 schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. On-call rotations may be necessary; clear ticket-based communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Optical DWDM Transport Equipment.
• (Infinera, Alcatel/Nokia, Ciena 6500, Waveserver)
• Experience supporting Dark Fiber and Wave products alarm monitoring systems (e.g. RFM, Solarwinds).
• Associate degree or equivalent education with 3+ years related experience.
• May require technical certification.

Responsibilities

• Supports Network Operations Center and Repair activities for PSCC customers.
• Resolves complex network problems involving network hardware, fiber, colo space and power.
• Uses tools to identify and diagnose network, hardware, and software problems; conducts monitoring and maintenance.
• Provides high-quality communication to customers via Ticket System, Phone, Email, and IM/Chat; documents actions in tickets.
