Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a NOC Analyst for a 3-month contract in Westbury, NY. The OC team handles monitoring and troubleshooting of Windows, VMware, Citrix, cloud, and Cisco devices, using SolarWinds and ServiceNow for tickets and management.

The role involves 24x7 onsite/remote network support, incident resolution, documentation, and coordinating with WAN/carriers. Training will occur onsite, then hybrid rotation, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

College degree preferred in related Computer/ Health Information Technology Systems or 3-5 years related equivalent experience.
Minimum of five (5) years, network support, implementation and experience with Cisco devices in an enterprise class data network environment.
CCNA or Network+ certifications would be highly preferred, but not required with applicable experience.
Experience researching, analyzing and evaluating network solutions.
Knowledge of traffic analysis tools and performance/capacity tools.

Responsibilities

Perform system monitoring and triage of incidents/problems based on SOP and escalate to subject matter experts when needed.
Diagnose and correlate complex network problems, identify root causes and develop remediation strategies.
Document all Network changes and implementations.
Assist subject matter experts with response to problem, incident and change tickets.
Escalate issues and coordinate with vendors to resolve problems.
Ensure daily functions are completed and communicated.
Attend to incident tickets, change tickets and email requests promptly.
Maintain knowledge of products, services and procedures.
Write and maintain clear documentation for incidents and procedures.
Perform trending analysis for chronic issues and re-mediate escalated network issues.
