Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager to ensure efficient operations of a customer network infrastructure, monitor, and troubleshoot issues, and drive high availability across environments.

The role emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and delivering value in a fast-paced network operations setting. A CS/IT degree and 5+ years in NOC management are preferred, with overnight shifts required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
• Five+ years in NOC management.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and infra technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities.
• Public Trust suitability.
• Overnight shift Mon-Fri 11pm–7am (may vary).

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the NOC team.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues.
• Collaborate with other departments and the customer to address network-related problems.
• Ensure that the network is highly available and meets requirements.
• Proactively monitor network performance and capacity, and plan for growth as needed.
• Develop and maintain NOC policies and procedures.
• Coach and mentor NOC staff on technical issues and professional development.
