Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking a Network Operations Engineer II in Denver, CO to join a global-scale data centre environment. You will become a Tier 2 escalation point, owning complex network issues and driving incidents to resolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of network operations experience.
• Strong routing and switching knowledge.
• Experience troubleshooting production network environments at scale.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable owning escalated incidents through to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support large-scale Data Centre networks.
• Act as the Tier 2 escalation point for critical incidents.
• Troubleshoot routers, switches, circuits, optics and cabling.
• Work across BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs and IP transport networks.
• Respond to major incidents and support SEV processes.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify issues.
• Work with engineering and Data Centre teams on maintenance.
• Maintain network changes, documentation and operational procedures.
• Network monitoring tools — SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG or similar.
• Packet capture & traffic analysis
