Job summary

First Point Group in Frisco, TX is seeking a NOC Support Engineer for on-site night shifts. You will monitor networks 24/7, respond to outages, and coordinate resolutions with vendors and internal teams.

You will act as SME across GSM/UMTS/LTE/IP, lead incident responses, mentor the NOC team, and develop training materials to improve operational excellence and service uptime. Experience with Splunk/OpenSearch, One Console, NetScout, and CyberArk is beneficial; the role demands strong

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert across telecom technologies: GSM, UMTS, LTE, IP, and messaging, nokia vendor.
• Lead and manage network outage responses, from localized incidents to major events.
• Mentor and guide NOC team members, providing technical leadership and skill development.
• Create and maintain training materials and operational documentation.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding service impacts and resolution status.
• Support capital deployments through real-time alarm monitoring, triage, and break-fix execution.
• Provide 24/7 network monitoring, ticket handling, and troubleshooting to ensure stability.
• Monitor KPIs, alarms, and system performance; escalate issues as needed.
• Conduct pre- and post-deployment validations to ensure successful upgrades and identify potential issues.
• Respond to alerts from tools such as One Console, Splunk, OpenSearch, NetScout, and CyberArk.
• Coordinate critical maintenance and break-fix activities with internal teams and vendors.
• Participate in troubleshooting bridges to resolve outages and degradation events related to capital programs.
