Job summary

First Point Group seeks an experienced Core Support Engineer in Frisco, TX with strong Nokia core network background to provide expert-level support for 4G/5G architectures. You will handle incident resolution, fault diagnosis, and system stabilization across Nokia core platforms while aligning with SLAs and cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in core network operations, solid protocol analysis skills (Diameter, GTP, SIP, S1AP), and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 4+ years of progressive professional experience in core network engineering, technical support, or telecom operations.
• Strong hands-on expertise supporting Nokia core network infrastructure and platforms.
• Knowledge of 4G EPS (MME, SGW, PGW) and 5G Core (AMF, SMF, UPF) architectures.
• Experience in network fault isolation, protocol analysis (Diameter, GTP, SIP, S1AP) and log troubleshooting.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving under high-pressure conditions.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Mandatory US work authorization; C2C/H1B sponsorship not allowed.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier-2/3 technical support for Nokia core network elements.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents, signaling and subscriber session issues.
• Configure, test, and upgrade Nokia core nodes across 4G/5G architectures.
• Monitor performance, traffic, capacity, and resources in live networks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client operations.
• Maintain technical documentation of logs, incidents, and changes.
• Execute routine patches and maintenance within SLAs.
