As a NOC Engineer, you will be responsible for proactively monitoring, maintaining, and supporting enterprise, telecommunications, and operational technology (OT) networks. You will play a critical role in incident detection, troubleshooting, escalation management, and service restoration while working closely with telecom carriers, ISPs, vendors, and internal engineering teams. The position requires strong expertise in TCP/IP networking, routing and switching, Linux administration, and network monitoring platforms. Candidates with experience supporting railway communications, SCADA systems, critical infrastructure, or transportation networks will have a distinct advantage. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where operational excellence, technical expertise, and rapid incident response are essential to business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and support enterprise, telecommunications, and operational technology (OT) network infrastructure.
  • Perform real-time network monitoring, fault detection, alarm management, and incident response activities.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving routers, switches, firewalls, WAN links, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and IP services.
  • Support mission-critical telecom carrier, ISP, and enterprise communication networks.
  • Monitor and maintain microwave radio communication systems and backhaul infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with telecom vendors, service providers, ISPs, and third-party support organizations to resolve service-affecting issues.
  • Manage incidents, escalations, service tickets, and SLA-driven restoration processes.
  • Support Linux-based systems, servers, and operational applications.
  • Execute planned maintenance activities, software upgrades, patching, and network configuration changes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and prepare detailed incident reports and post-incident documentation.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, technical documentation, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in shift-based operations and on-call support rotations to ensure continuous service availability.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in NOC, Network Operations, Telecommunications, ISP, or Enterprise Network Support environments.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and network troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Routing & Switching technologies.
  • Solid understanding of VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and WAN technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and network infrastructure components.
  • Experience supporting telecom carrier, ISP, or large-scale enterprise network environments.
  • Linux system administration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Understanding of Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Root Cause Analysis processes.
  • Experience using network monitoring and observability tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication, technical documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a shift-based, high-availability operations environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience in railway, transportation, or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Knowledge of Positive Train Control (PTC) systems.
  • Familiarity with Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) environments.
