Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a NOC Analyst to monitor SONET, DWDM, IP and Ethernet networks and provide first-line support in a 24x7 operations center. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate issues across core, distribution, and carrier networks, while performing basic scripting and system administration tasks.

The role is contract-to-hire in Columbia, SC, with onsite training and a hybrid work arrangement after ramp.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience in NOC/Network Operations.
• Experience monitoring SONET, DWDM, IP, and Ethernet networks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor core, distribution, and carrier last mile and customer premise networks.
• Provide first-line defense for monitoring and management activities.
• Prioritize remediation of issues in a 24x7 NOC.
• Perform basic system administration tasks and script repetitive tasks.
• Serve as escalation point for other teams.
